Very Unfair and Restrictive License Policy, 2005-08-06

For instance, if you buy a license for a client at http://www.myclient.com/newsletter you can NEVER move the license from that location, I kid you not. If your client changes their domain name, or for any reason you want to move the script to another folder, you are out of luck.. If your client leaves you and goes with a new designer and hosting, you're out of luck. I know this from personal experience. I had purchased a license for a client that a month later moved from me to another company. I contacted ComDev about an upgrade and transfer of license (to deactivate current license and activate on another URL). They said it would cost $39 for the upgrade with an unjustified $35 service fee ($74 total). To buy a new copy is $59! And even with that upgrade they still would not allow a transfer of the license.. Once that license is activated a certain location it CANNOT be moved... Never. Is that ridiculous or what? This company is out of its mind. Be wise and steer clear.
