Description

This article provides the user a detailed introduction of the FMA (Federated Management Architecture), which is a standard extension to the Java 2 platform. It also explains how it creates the policy-based management application infrastructures. The article tells you about the two technologies such as the Jiro technology of Sun Microsystems and the WBEM (Web-Based Enterprise Management Initiative) of Distributed Management Task Force that creates the management applications for varied environments. The user of this article should have knowledge of Jini platform and distributed object programming.
