Description

SSI as a feature of CGI allows you to dynamically embed content onto your web page or even across your entire site. Usage of SSI does not require knowledge of Perl programming and you can have the browser display it as if it was hard coded onto that page. This ensures that manual editing is not required and aspects such as current date and time in different formats, display of the last modified date of a web page etc can be automated.
